COMPLAINTS

1.1.    Complaints from Employers

1.1.1.        Fruitful is a hands on organisation and we pride ourselves on the good relationships that we have with our clients. We aim to work as partners with our farms to ensure that both them and our participants have a positive experience whilst in the UK. Occasionally things can go wrong and if they do, we would like you to tell us about it so that we can rectify the problem together.

1.1.2.        If you have a concern you are first invited to raise it verbally by telephoning either the Fruitful office or our mobiles. Depending on the nature of the issue the matter may be resolved at this stage of further investigation may be required; this may require a visit to your site. As well as raising the query verbally you are invited to use the bulletin board in your user area of www.fruitfuljobs.org.uk which can be viewed by Justin & Rachel.

1.1.3.        If you are not satisfied with the response received you are invited to detail the nature of your concerns, in writing, to Rachel Hubbard, who will undertake to deal with the issues raised within 5 working days of receiving all information from you.

1.2.1.        Fruitful makes it clear to potential participants that it cannot guarantee to find everyone work and that we are limited by the positions we have available at any one particular time.

1.2.2.        We recognise that for most participants this might be their first time away from home in a different country, and as such this can be an exciting time, but also can be a traumatic experience for some participants.

1.2.3.        We want our participants to gain as much out of their experience as possible, to experience the culture, learn about UK farming and earn /save money to take home with them. We are here to get the most out of your stay in the UK.

1.2.4.        If you have a specific concern about your placement, the work you are undertaking, the wages you are earning, your accommodation, etc then in the first instance where possible you should speak to the relevant supervisor on your farm (i.e camp supervisor, field supervisor etc). As most often things can be sorted out quickly and easily.

1.2.5.        If you feel that you cannot speak to someone on the farm, then you can call our welfare line on 01989 500 130, leave a message and contact number and someone will get back to you. Alternatively you can contact your agent in your home country or speak to Justin or Amanda when they come and visit the farm.

1.2.6.        If you feel that you cannot speak to any of the above please write to the Managing Director of Fruitful Jobs Ltd providing a contact address and telephone number and your complaint will be acknowledged within 5 working days, you may be required to provide additional information regarding your complaint for us to deal sufficiently with it.

1.2.7.        We will listen to your complaint and investigate it with the employer; we may also speak to other workers on your farm. We will then agreed a course of action to address your concerns, this will be communicated and discuss with both yourself and your employer.
