We are a busy Fish & Chip style takeaway in Pontypool , also serving Kebabs on Fridays and Saturdays. We are currently open Monday –Saturday, but would like to open 7 days a week.

We are seeking an experienced person to assist the head fryer in duties, including cooking chips, battered fish, chicken, sausages, and other products, in 3 pan range oil cooker.

Also to be able to use gas fired Kebab machine, and to prepare kebabs for customers.

Ultimately to be able to operate as fryer when head fryer/manager not present.

Other duties to include:

Operating automated potato peeling machine, and hand finishing potatoes as required for chipping.

Cleaning of cooking equipment.

Monitoring of fridge and freezer temperatures.

Key holder/Opening and closing shop if required.

Operating cash register, and serving customers.

Filtering of range oil, through Merlin filter machine.

There is the possibility of living accommodation in the form of a flat above the premises, to be included as part of the arrangement. This will be strictly tied to the job position.
